A KEEN gardener will be sitting pretty this winter in a hot-tub she won as part of a £20,000 garden makeover prize.

Tina Mantle of Osborne Close, Kidderminster, won her prize in a national newspaper competition sponsored by gardening website www.greenfingers.com.

A team of experts designed the new-look garden including Rosemary Very, who has drawn up plans for Prince Charles and Elton John, and author George Plumptre, founder of greenfingers.com.

Tina, an accounts administrator with BILD, the British Institute of Learning Disability, Wolverhampton Road, Kidderminster, and her husband, Roy, a Sealine carpenter, live in the end house of a cul-de-sac with a 60-yard long garden.

It already had an oriental theme, inspired by a visit to Bali and by Tina's love of feng shui.

She said: "I lived in Australia until I was 15 and have never forgotten the warmth, the verandahs and the decking, which inspired my thoughts for a new garden."
