A SINGLE goal was sufficient to guarantee Prince Henry's Under-15s hockey squad a place in the semi-finals of the English HA Plate competition.
JoJo Barker was the goal star with a neat finish after 20 minutes following a neat passing move involving four colleagues.
Barrow Hockey Club was the venue and an overnight stay in Cumbria on Mon-day added to the adventure for the Year 10 girls.
Solid defence was the key to the Evesham school's success in what was, inevitably, a hard-fought and tense contest.
"It was just as tough as we had expected," said PE teacher, Elaine Shepherd. "They were a strong side but we defended well and scored a well-worked goal.
Prince Henry's will find out their last four opponents next week.
To cap a great week, the school's Under-14 side was crowned Worcestershire champions.
