Badsey Ladies 5, Kings Heath II 4

AFTER two successive defeats, Badsey rediscovered their form in Saturday's penultimate league match.

A highly entertaining game began well for the home side as they completely dominated the first half when Kings Heath were unable to match the speed and accuracy of their passing game.

Karen Whelan ope-ned the scoring and her persistence in the circle soon earned her another goal.

Badsey's forwards were causing all sorts of problems and Sha-ron Fish finished off a super move by slotting the ball into the corner to make it 3-0.

The excellent Whelan then completed her hat-trick before half-time.

Kings Heath began their fightback and scored two quick goals after the restart before Fish found herself with just the goalkeeper to beat to net a fifth.

Unfortunately, the home defenders now chose to have a collective panic attack as they allowed Kings Heath to score two more goals but gradually Badsey re-asserted themselves and held out for the final whistle and three more well earned points.

Badsey entertain Kidderminster at Tri-nity College in the final league game of the season on Saturday.
