VOLUNTEERS are needed to help Worcester pensioners maintain independence in their own home.
Sally Ellison, manager of Worcester City Volunteer Bureau, would like to hear from anyone who can help.
"Following discharge from hospital, volunteers will visit clients in their homes and encourage work undertaken in rehabilitation to continue.
"This may mean that a volunteer will encourage exercise or activity, for example a walk or a little gardening.
"The volunteer may be available while a meal is cooked and may encourage social activity.
"Volunteers will work as part of a multi-discipline team and will be trained and carefully supported and supervised.
"This would be an excellent role for anyone interested in a career in nursing, physiotherapy or occupational therapy."
Anyone interested should contact Sally Ellison on 01905 24741.
