CRICKET CLUB: At the AGM members were told that the 2001 season had seen an improvement on the previous season. The first team had finished fourth in their league and the seconds were in a mid-table position. Overall, the club played 52 matches, won 21, drew 10 and lost 16 with five abandoned. The chairman made a plea to the meeting that if two teams were to continue on Saturdays, new players were needed.

Financially, the club was in a secure position. The secretary's proposals to change subscriptions and match fees were agreed. From 2002, subscriptions were abolished in favour of increased match fees, which was seen as fairer.

It was decided to continue with two teams in the Worcestershire County League. The first team will play in Division 6 and the seconds in the Third XI Double division.

Junior league cricket had to end due to falling numbers. However, junior practice nights would continue on Fridays at the Recreation Ground during the season. If numbers allowed, friendly matches would be organised for the juniors. The older juniors will be asked to play for the Second XI.

The non-playing officers remained the same. However, on the playing side the following were appointed: Saturday 1st XI Captain - Andy Martin Saturday 2nd XI Captain - Lee Wickersham Sunday Captain - Michael Martin.
