AUDIENCES at The Everyman have their very last chance to Shake A Tail Feather when The Blues Brothers make their final appearances next week.

The smash hit musical, which is the only official performance endorsed by the John Belushi estate, will be storming on stage at the Cheltenham theatre from this Monday as part of the last ever tour - 11 years since it began as a one-off tribute.

Jake and Elwood Blues, together with their six-piece band and The Bluettes backing singers, will raise the roof as they belt out such hits as Soul Man, Everybody Needs Somebody, Respect, and Jailhouse Rock.

They will be joined on stage by Antonio Fargas, most famous for his role as Huggy Bear in the cult 70s TV series Starsky and Hutch, although he has also appeared in films such as Shaft and Car Wash.

The Blues Brothers made their small-screen debuts on Saturday Night Live in 1978 as the inventions of the late John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd.

They soon rocketed to stardom with the classic self-titled movie and followed that with the album A Briefcase of Blues, which shifted nearly three million copies.

Tickets for the shows, which run from March 25 to March 30, range from £10 to £23 and are available by contacting the box office on 01242 572573 or at www.everymant-heatre.org.uk .
