A LEGACY of gratitude will help Kidderminster ambulance staff relax from the stress of work.
Margaret Currell, of Vernon Road, Stourport, left £65,000 to the service in her will.
Now £25,000 of the legacy is to be spent on a conservatory at Kidderminster Ambulance Station, which is also undergoing a £141,000 revamp.
Trust spokesman Chris Mowbray said: "The staff really appreciate this. They can often spend some time waiting around when they are on duty and this will give them a bit more living space and comfort."
Mrs Currell, who was in her 70s, was a regular user of the ambulance service and was taken to various health centres by paramedics.
The widow, better known as Jean, had no close relatives. Delighted staff will also have a hand in deciding where the remaining £40,000 is spent.
