FERNDALE girls U-16s lost 3-2 in the Open Cup semi-final second leg at Premier side Wolverhampton.
They were 2-1 ahead early in the second half but Wolves finished with two late goals to take victory.
Sam Rogers and Nicole Allison scored, while Nikki Palmer was player of the match.
They beat Cannock 12-0 the previous week with goals from Rogers (six), Allison (two), Natalie Holmes (two), Palmer and Rachel Baldwin scored.
Ferndale U-14's came away from Redditch United with a 3-2 win.
Two goals from Tina Ridings and a stunning individual winner from Kirsty Robson kept them top.
Player of the match was Holly Penwarden.
