THE Worcestershire Grasstrack Club stages the country's first meeting of the year on Sunday.
The 'Three Pears Flyer' will be the first adult event to be held in Worcester since August 1982, when the historic venue of Per-diswell Park held its last event.
The club have invited all retired riders from the area to attend on the day so a nostalgic atmosphere can be created.
A large crowd is expected at Offerton Farm, Hindlip which is adjacent to junction six of the M5.
The event features all solo and sidecar classes with riders competing from all over the country.
Former 350 and current 250 British champions are among the entries, along with locals Chris Salisbury, Dave Higgins, Tony Starke, Simon Gittings, Alan Doughty and Hadrian Garner.
Racing starts at 1pm with practice at 11am. Admission prices are £5 for adults, £3 for 12 to 16- year-olds and O.A.P.s with free entry for children 12 and under.
