A PICTURE framer from Broadway, who started his own business in January has reached a national competition final.
Richard Christie, aged 23, of High Street, has to wait until the awards ceremony in Coventry on May 11 to see how he has fared against the other five finalists.
Mr Christie has been framing since he left school eight years ago and runs Art'Giano from a workshop at his home, and decided to enter the Fine Art Trade Guild competition which this year had the theme "Botanical."
"As soon as I saw the theme I decided to go for The Golden Rose, also known as The English Rose, which is very appropriate in the Queen's Jubilee year," he said.
"I am over the moon about reaching the final, especially having just started up on my own."
Mr Christie can be contacted on 01386 854737.
