A TRIO of sides have ama-ssed the same number of points at the top of the Eve-sham Indoor League after Evesham Casuals comfortably saw off Dumbleton's challenge.
Presse (31no) and Boorman (33no) helped the Gloucester-shire side reach 118-4 a smaller total than they would have expected after reaching 57 without loss.
Casuals managed just ten runs fewer as Charlton (25ret) and Steed got the reply off in fine fashion.
A mid-innings wobble occurred but unbeaten knocks from Clements (23) and Smith (18) steered the Evesham side to 119-2 albeit with the help of no fewer than 32 extras.
In the night's second match, there was an extraordinary win for Elmley Castle, who played a player short.
Stanway made their opponents pay in the field as an unbeaten 42 from Lawrence, 32 from Jenkins and 26 from Fowler saw a more than useful total of 137-5 posted.
Craig Sheward, who took 2-33 with the ball, then led the Castle charge in reply, hitting 53 not out.
Webb's unbeaten 37 and 23 from Karl Sheward were also significant contributions in a most unlikely win.
Victory left Elmley two points adrift of the top trio and an excellent batting average means they are still firmly in the promotion picture.
Fixtures for Tuesday: Casuals v St Benedict's (8); Dumbleton v Stanway (9).
