The quiz team has reached the final. Two members represented the group in a golf tournament.
Members were reminded of the Lucy Hingley lecture, a visit to Longleat and special short stays at Hoar Cross Health Spa.
Mel Mills was the March speaker, on My Grandmother was a Gypsy.
He told of the history of gypsy tribes, which were persecuted by Tudor monarchs.
As a young boy Mel had accompanied his uncle on his travels but was pursued by the attendance officer and forced to attend school.
Mel's grandmother was just 4ft 10in tall and weighed 17 stones. She wore a man's cap and hob-nailed boots, and smoked a pipe since the age of three.
The evening closed with a picture quiz, won by a visitor, Diana Edwards.
On April 10 Mrs E Booth will speak about Lockside Antiques. Tickets will be available for the fashion show on April 19.
