A BOUT of tennis elbow plagued Jeremy Robinson's trip to the Middle East.
After missing the cut in Dubai, the 36-year-old Evesham golfer was forced to withdraw from last week's Qatar masters in Doha after an opening round of 78.
"The whole trip was a struggle but, despite the problem, I just don't know why I played so badly. My long game wasn't very good at all," he recalled.
"I wasn't too bad in Dubai but I struggled last Thursday and decided to withdraw.
"The elbow has been giving me problems on and off for about three months and I think the constant practice and play of the past couple of weeks has irritated something."
After treatment on Monday, the European Tour star flew out to Madeira yesterday with hopes of getting his season back on track ahead of a three-week rest.
