At the March meeting, chairman Angie McCarthy remarked on the visit to the Rose Theatre, to see the Kidderminster Operatic and Dramatic Society's production of Carousel.
A talk and slide show was given by members of the Worcestershire Barn Owl Society, who had brought along two barn owls Poppy and Opal and Hannibal, a log-eared owl who proceeded to "hoot" in the dark of the slide show.
The barn owl population is diminishing rapidly due to the modern popularity of barn conversions for housing. Members were invited to hold the birds.
During the evening Pat Mullard, had done sketches of the birds. The competition, to make an owl, was won by Olive Broadfield. The next meeting is on Tuesday, April 9 at St Cecilia's Church Hall. New members are always welcome.
The talk will be The Story of Clocks by Robin Skerratt. The competition is for a collage clock.
