Shifnal Town 0 Studley BKL 0
STUDLEY extended their unbeaten run to 14 matches in a dreary game at lowly Shifnal.
BKL were frustrated at every turn by a stern Shifnal rearguard and it was five minutes before the break when their first chance came.
Target man Kevin Rowlands thought he had scored after Town keeper Neil Jones spilled a fierce Ian Mitchell shot but the referee overruled his assistant and said Rowlands had fouled the keeper.
The Bees failed to convert a hatful of chances after the break and Craig Pountney should have scored on 65 minutes but shaved the outside of the post with a powerful half volley from a Rowlands knockdown.
The hosts could have stolen the points but Martyn Lakin denied Dominic Heath and Rowlands was narrowly wide from a drilled Pountney cross after sub Rob Powell was hauled down on the wing.
