KINGS Heath manager Sean Lawless has signed a new forward and said he could bring in two more new faces before the transfer deadline at the end of the month.
Attacking midfielder Matt Devine has joined from Shirley Town and Lawless is taking a look at a goalkeeper and striker from an unnamed junior side with a view to bringing them in after the Kingsmen all but secured their Premier Division status.
Second from bottom Alveston were seen off 2-1 at the weekend to put 12 points between them and the relegation zone.
And with another match against Alveston to come in the run-in, Lawless is looking up the table.
"It wasn't a very good game at the weekend but it was the result which was important," he said.
"If we could hang on to a mid-table finish after the relegation worries this year I would settle for that."
Midfielders Mal Teague and Micky Burton are unavailable for Saturday's trip to reigning champions Nuneaton Griffs (ko 2.45pm) because of work commitments but Midfielder Dave Crumpton returned to light training last week after a back problem and Lawless hopes he will return this season.
Heath visit Massey Ferguson on Tuesday (ko 7.45pm).
