THIS Sunday there will be a Palm Sunday procession from Penny Close to Guarlford Church for a united service of Holy Communion for Guarlford & Madresfield commencing at 9.30am.
This Sunday is also Daffodil Sunday when Madresfield Court gardens will be open from 2-5pm, entry is £3 for adults, £1 under 16s and under 11s free. Attractions include drifts of daffodils, tractor rides, the maze and cream teas. All proceeds in aid of church funds.
The choir from Madresfield Primary School took part in Lift High the Cross at Worcester Cathedral last Thursday, a spring festival of song with over a thousand children taking part with organ and brass ensemble conducted by Geoff Weaver (RSCM).
Offers of help decorating Guarlford Church for Easter would be welcome by Elizabeth Tidball on (01684) 564432.
During Holy Week there will be a service of Compline at St Mary's, Madresfield on Wednesday, March 27, the Last Supper on Maundy Thursday at 8pm at Guarlford Church and a devotional service at 2pm at St Mary's, Madresfield for Good Friday. These services are part of the United Benefice.
