MR R G SPENCER (Your Letters, March 8) says: "'After Elgar's death, and his burial at Malvern Wells...".
In fact, of course, it is here at Little Malvern that Elgar is buried, in the churchyard of St Wulstan's Church.
Until it was recently pointed out to the parish council, which promptly took action to remedy it, there was no road sign indicating where Malvern Wells ended and Little Malvern began. There is now.
FR CHRISTOPHER CALASCIONE OSB, parish priest, St Wulstan's, Ledbury Road, Little Malvern.
