THE West completed their first double of the season with a 3-1 victory over Fernhill Heath Spurs.

WEST MALVERN 3, FERNHILL HEATH SPURS 1

The West got off to a flyer scoring within the first five minutes when a shot from Julian Walden slipped through the goalkeeper's hands. Fernhill Heath came back strongly and within ten minutes they were level. The game swung from end to end before Lee Tracey put the West 2-1 up.

The second half continued in a similar pattern to the first with the West now creating more chances. The West went 3-1 up with a superb effort from Ken McEwan.

Although Fernhill Heath came back strongly the West continued to press for more goals, the person causing the most problems for Spurs was Ken McEwan with two fine efforts flying just wide. With no further scores the West settled for a 3-1 victory.

Tomorrow (Saturday) West travel to high-flying Inkberrow Reserves, players meet Eurohaus at 2pm.
