A LEADING building supplies company has invested £100,000 in the redevelopment of its Worcester premises.

Bradfords Building Supplies acquired the Tolladine Road site last year, plus a site in Malvern, when it purchased the goodwill and business assets of builders' merchants Underwoods and Company.

Since then, both branches have been integrated into the Bradfords Group, with the Worcester site undergoing major refurbishment as part of the company's branch improvement programme.

The Worcester branch now covers an area of 3,100sq ft and boasts an improved self-selection area, tool hire centre and extensive bathroom and kitchen showroom.

"We are dedicated to the continual improvement of our branches and are very pleased with the overall look of the completed Worcester showroom," said Dennis Smith, Bradfords managing director.

"The move to Worcester has consolidated our strength in the region and has also further enhanced our buying power."

To mark the opening of the new-look premises, an open house for the building trade was being held today, with an open morning scheduled for retail customers tomorrow.
