Colin Larkin raced away to score Kidderminster Harriers' 81st-minute winner and kept their Division Three play-off hopes alive.
Harriers took three points from the must-win clash thanks to Larkin's calm finish, his sixth goal of the season, after an Andy Ducros through-ball.
Both sides had opportunities to win a scrappy game that was often short on quality.
But a hard-working display from the Harriers always kept them in with a chance.
Jan Molby's men now have another big promotion d-day at Cheltenham on Tuesday.
