PHIL Robinson believes two more victories will not only ensure Hereford United are safe from relegation but could lay the platform for a top six finish.

The Bulls went into action against Morecambe at Edgar Street today and then entertain Mark Wright's Chester City on Tuesday evening and six points could catapult the Bulls up the table.

Hereford are lying in 15th place nine points above the dropzone but just seven points off sixth place so Robinson's side have plenty of incentive.

"The league is that tight that if we win these two matches we could even start thinking about a top five or six place," said Robinson.

"As it stands if we can get two wins from anywhere before the end of the season then we will be relatively safe."

Robinson said his side need to stop conceding goals to return to winning ways.

"What was disappointing about the Farnborough game was that we actually scored two goals away from home but lost because we didn't defend properly," he said.

The visit of Chester Wright's side will provide a much-needed cash boost for Hereford after they lost £3,000 due to the postponement of their clash with Dagenham & Redbridge.

That match has been rearranged for Tuesday, April 16.

The visit of Chester, who ended Hereford's FA Umbro Trophy hopes with a last minute winner at the Deva Stadium, could pitch ex-Bulls defender Mark Williams against his old team.

Williams never really established himself at the club and left under a disciplinary cloud and will be eager to prove exact revenge against his old club.

Suspensions have started to creep in and John Snape starts a two-match suspension today joining Matt Clarke who completes his ban today.

Off the field a Hereford United Junior Bulls Family Quiz night to raise money for the club is being held on Thursday, April 4, in Legends at 7.30pm.

The quiz is open to all ages and tickets are available from the club office and MWPC, 72 Commercial Road.
