MR Bailey's letter (You Say, March 16) expresses concern about the non-compliance by some drivers of parking restrictions on double yellow lines in Pinkett Street.
I have also been concerned for a very long time about the parking of vehicles on double yellow lines outside the shops in Canada Way, Lower Wick. The parking restriction was, I suppose, placed there for a reason.
Maybe it was because Canada Way is, at that point, on a bend that only provides a restricted view to drivers of the road ahead in both directions at all times.
The illegally-parked vehicles seriously impair negotiating this bend.
I fear that one day an accident may occur there.
