I WAS very upset and dismayed at the arson attack at the Lido Park.
The children's play area and equipment has been an excellent and well-used facility in our town.
Mothers and toddlers must be broken-hearted to all such wilful damage.
During my term on Droitwich Spa Town Council, we welcomed the refurbishment of the play area and we paid for three special constables to help police the town.
We also suggested a park warden, but to no avail.
Perhaps Wychavon District Council could seriously look into employing one to work in Evesham, Pershore and Droitwich Spa Parks.
The lack of facilities for the older youths, since the closure of the skate board and BMX track facilities has not helped our town, as we are now badly affected by vandalism.
When caught, these vandals should be named and shamed.
