AN autistic teenage author aiming to highlight mental health needs for young people will be the guest speaker at a Worcester conference.
Thirteen-year-old Luke Jackson, who suffers from a form of autism called Aspergers Syndrome, has written a book called Freaks, Geeks & Aspergers Syndrome - A User Guide To Adolescence.
The condition can make social interaction and communication difficult, and Luke, from Blackpool, will discuss his experiences at a meeting called "Keep us in Mind", at Worcester Rugby Club, on Friday, May 23.
"So many books are written about us, but none are written directly to adolescents with AS," said the teenager from Blackpool.

"I thought I would write one in the hope that we could all learn together."
The book - for which Luke won the National Special Needs Book Award - takes the reader through issues such as friendships, bullying, school problems, dating and morality.
The conference is open to members of the public.
