BROMSGROVE and Redditch racewalker Sharon Tonks made it a hat-trick of wins in the May Day five-mile run/race walk in Memorial Park, Coventry.
The women's racewalk winner for the previous two years, Sharon was looking to make it three despite carrying the cold and rib injuries that have plagued her for the past few weeks.
Throughout the race she accompanied Nuneaton's Simon Hambridge, member of the National Junior Elite Squad.
Sharon won the women's race comfortably, although at a steadier pace than her previous triumphs.
