A SIGNIFICANT win for the Conservatives was in Central ward where Labour stalwart Ron Passingham was ousted by 24-year-old Arjamand Farooqui.
Mr Farooqui is now the youngest member on the council by far.
Though he lives in Riverside, he spent much of his life in Smallwood and Southcrest, which he now represents.
Having graduated in Estate Management from UCE last year, he is now training to be a chartered surveyor.
Things have moved fast for Mr Farooqui, who only decided to stand for election a few months ago.
