The April meeting was conducted by Brenda Jenkins, vice president, with 36 members attending. The secretary, Marge Colvin, read the report from the previous month, also a great many notices of future events taking place.

Several special birthdays were mentioned. June Cant won the award for the most points in the competitions entered for 2002.

Several members are attending the Spring Show at Bewdley, all classes being entered by Bromsgrove. Doreen Moor gave a most interesting account of the council meeting at Malvern. June Cant announced the start of green bowling, which begun on Monday.

The speaker for the afternoon was Mrs Harrison showing samples of her work on ribbon weaving, the examples of this Victorian craft were very colourful and intricate all the members being very interested. The competition winner was Beverly Davenport and the raffle was then drawn after tea. Brenda closed the meeting, hoping to see members attending the next on Tuesday, May 13, in the Masonic Hall, Churchfields, at 2.15pm.
