TWO junior drivers from Droitwich Spa have made flying starts to the new Ministock season.
Ashley Bird, aged 11, and 15-year-old George Brown finished first and third respectively at the opening event of this years championship at Grimley raceway, near Worcester.
At the second event on Easter Monday Brown finished half a car length ahead of Bird, named best up and coming driver last season.
Those two events leave George leading the championship with Ashley, of Sale Green, a close second.
Their fathers, Rob Bird and Tony Brown, are also keen drivers, claiming two third places and a second between them over the Easter weekend.
