THE curriculum, teaching staff and standard of behaviour were all praised during a recent Ofsted report of Studley C of E Junior School.

The report also said the pupils attained above average standards in reading, mathematics and most other subjects by the end of Year 6 and the pupils showed good attitudes to learning and school.

The headteacher, deputy headteacher, subject managers, teaching assistants and governors also came in for high praise.

Areas where the report said the school could improve included more being done to improve the quality and range of independent and extended forms of reading.

There was also room for improvement in the achievement of average-attaining.
