ENVIRONMENTALLY conscious youngsters from a Spa school enjoyed a host of activities to promote climate control.

Pupils from St Peter’s First School, Church Lane, Droitwich, took part in the school’s third eco-week. During the week, from Monday, January 11 until Friday, January 15, the children completed a number of activities to increase awareness of being eco-friendly and supporting and caring for our environment.

The following week saw the children thinking carefully about a range of eco school concepts such as recycling, saving energy and keeping school grounds clean. As part of the event the St Peter’s Eco Council spent an afternoon planting tree seedlings around the school grounds which the children hope in a few years will further enhance the appearance of the school.

In addition to this, the Year Four children were visited by the npower climate cops where they spent the day thinking about and exploring renewable energy on Tuesday, January 19.
