TINY Tigers look like ladies who enjoy tea and cakes but their stage show tells a different story.

The latest band to feature in the Base Sessions section on our website are a new wave all girl group who make a big noise despite their reserved image.

The group, who hail from Bethnal Green in London, was formed by old school friends Paula Snow and Angela Martin in 2007 and recruited drummer Ann Rock in August the following year.

During a visit to the Base Studios on Rufford Road, Stourbridge, the trio rocked the venue’s live room with a raw and electric show including standout tracks Stop Talking, Sort It Out and Dance With Me.

Their new EP, called Time For Tea, is available now to download from the usual online outlets.

Meanwhile, on Saturday October 24, the studios will be playing host to a night of bands promoted by Red Monster Records, a label based in the region who focus on new acoustic and indie artists.

The show will feature sets from Crimson Joy, a three piece who mix pop, rock and punk, Dudley power popsters 2 Days Notice plus Georgia Szygowska, a Stourbridge singer who is already making a name for herself covering songs by artists ranging from Maroon 5 and Lenka to The Script and Pink.

The line up for the Red Monster event is completed by Feird Wish and The Rickershades, tickets cost £3 and the show starts at 7pm.
