LEGENDARY guitarist Trevor Burton has performed with some of the great musicians of the last 40 years.
The Birmingham born founder member of 60s chart toppers The Move is the latest well-known name to appear in our on-line video feature - The Base Sessions.
Trevor left The Move in 1969 but after taking a short break to hang out with his old friend Steve Winwood he soon returned to gigging with a new band called Balls.
The new band’s line up read like a rockers dream, Balls featured Trevor, Steve Gibbons, Denny Laine from The Moody Blues and Allen White who found fame with The Plastic Ono Band.
Later in the 70s Trevor became a top session performer for Island Records before joining the Steve Gibbons Band for seven years.
With a CV which also includes experience playing with stars like Jimi Hendrix and Robert Plant it is no surprise Trevor’s current band is rated among the region’s top live acts.
The Base, on Rufford Road, is getting set to play host to more live bands including Four Lovers, Kid Korandi, Fans of Faye and Shot Dead in Vegas on Saturday October 24.
