DISCOVER a giant Cinderella coach and four horses made entirely out of cake and sugar and learn the art of making something similar – only at Cake International, the sugarcraft and cake decoration show at the NEC, Birmingham from November 7-8.

Visitors to the show will find the latest cake decorating products and accessories from over 100 exhibitors, an exciting programme of demonstrations, competitions, dynamic college and group displays and much more.

With international and UK demonstrators offering ideas and advice plus a chance to meet the judges on Sunday morning from between 11am-1pm, cake-decorating enthusiasts through to people in the trade will be sure to learn something new.

International demonstrators will include Tal Tsafrir Tantalim from Israel with the perfect model of a sweet fairy, Jill Maytham from South Africa showcasing a beach bikini and hat cutter and Marcela Sanchez from Brazil will demonstrate stencilling techniques for a Christmas cake.

From the UK, June Twelves will show visitors how to create the perfect bride, Lisa Slatter reveals the secret of an elegant cupcake and Lindy Smith examines cake jewellery.

Newcomers can enjoy 'A Taste of Sugar' - a hands-on workshop for beginners with Dawn Gemmell and her team from University College Birmingham. Visitors will also discover floral demonstrations with Ann Parker and her team, and Maisie Parrish will sign copies of her new book Fun and Original Character Cakes, answer questions and offer demonstration requests.

Join Elaine Haines and Lisa Slatter in The Cake Decorators Kitchen every day of the show and watch mouth-watering demonstrations including decorated cupcakes, cookies and brownies and the 'Wilton' way to teach.

Be in with the chance of winning cash prizes or a superb Kenwood Chef Titanium KM010 (rrp £399.99) for the cake that wins 'Best in Show'. Visitors from all levels can enter one of the cake competition classes to show off their techniques and skills. Last year saw 300 entries making it the largest event to date. The British Sugarcraft Guild will once again provide support and inspiration with regional displays, dedicated competition classes, the popular demonstration forum hosted by industry celebrities and a membership area. ICHF are extremely pleased to welcome overseas visitors, who are encouraged to enter the International Class of the Competition to put their decorating skills to the test on an international stage. Every overseas entrant will receive a certificate to show that their cake has been on display at Cake International 2009.
