LIBERAL Democrat candidiate Ann Gopsill has won the Droitwich Central ward after a close run by-election.
She polled 233 votes to win the Wychavon District Council seat by just 10 votes. She saw off a determined challenge by Conservative candidate David Morris who polled 223 votes.
The by-election was held after the death of Ann Gopsill's husband Graham ealier this year.
