THE future of Droitwich Spa’s historical Brine Bath complex is no nearer being resolved.
Despite claiming that a decision was imminent over a month ago, BMI Healthcare, the firm that runs the facility in St Andrew’s Road, have still failed to shed light on the matter for worried Spa residents.
A spokesman for BMI Healthcare said: “There is still no news at this time but we hope a final decision will be made sooner rather than later.”
The site, which for many is a symbol of the town’s very existence and a proud cornerstone of it’s heritage, closed its doors last December.
It soon emerged that the closure was down to building safety fears and that further investigation had to take place.
However, concerned residents are eager to learn of the Brine Bath’s fate and have joined council officials and town MP Peter Luff in calling for a decision.
