A "leisurely" Cornwall cycling route with "impressive scenery" has been named one of the best to try out in the UK.

The Camel Trail was included on the list of the 20 best cycle routes in the UK and Ireland from Big7Travel.

Discussing the creation of the list the publication wrote: "The UK and Ireland are home to some spectacular scenery, from wildflower-filled meadows in the Cotswolds to the chalky cliffs of the Kent coast – and one of the best ways to explore is on two wheels.

"There are now thousands of miles of dedicated cycle paths crisscrossing the country, including car-free tracks, quiet country lanes and former railway lines. But with so much choice, which should you choose for your next two-wheeled adventure?"
