THE TOP five most popular streets in Worcester for homebuyers have been revealed by a county estate agent.
Prospective buyers have their sights set on many city roads and areas with Nicol & Co revealing the most desirable locations.
They said the historic county capital city is proving popular with homebuyers looking to live in a great location that boasts beautiful architecture and yet is minutes from stunning countryside.
Dan Westwood, sales manager at Nicol & Co’s Worcester office, said it is a winning formula that is driving residential sales in 2024.
“As with many cities, Worcester has streets which are recognised as the most desirable to live on.
“But these properties have high values, people want to buy there, and properties don’t come on the market very often.”
In Worcester, Nicol & Co’s Top 5 most desirable locations include St Georges Square, Britannia Square, Burlingham Square, Barbourne Terrace and Beech Avenue.
But as Mr Westwood pointed out, the statistics show that properties do not come up for sale very often on these streets.
The top five streets for property sales, according to Nicol & Co, are The Hill Avenue, Eltric Road, Laugherne Road, Grange Avenue and Battenhall Road.
He said: “When properties come up for sale on these streets, they receive loads of interest and are snapped up quickly. These are the locations where we have sold recently and where the most demand is.”
Nicol & Co sold the most homes in Worcester and Droitwich in 2023 and at a faster rate, according to figures released by RightMove.
Nicol & Co has also been named the UK’s Sales Agency of the Year in the Best Estate Agents Guide awards for 2024.
Managing director Matt Nicol launched the business in 2009 in Droitwich and now has offices in Worcester and Malvern as well.
