Just three homes remain from a popular new Ombersley development, with over 40 homes already snapped up.

45 homes were built in the Worcestershire village, part of the award-winning Woodhall Lane development by Spitfire Homes.

Ombersley was named one of the most desirable villages in the UK in 2023.

Faber, which has a variety of two to four bedroom homes, has drawn a diverse range of prospective buyers according to Heather Turner, New Homes specialist at Nicol & Co.

Ms Turner said: "We’ve had enquiries from a wide range of buyers, from those looking to buy their first home, families, or people aiming to downsize.

"Faber really has the broadest appeal to the market."

Among Faber's new residents is Jayne Burbidge, who had an enduring affection for Ombersley since stumbling across it online.

In anticipation of her retirement, Ms Burbidge downsized to move into a two-bedroom Prestwold home, with the prospect of less maintenances, reduced housework and lower utility costs playing a role in her decision.

Ms Burbidge said: "The location and build quality really appealed, plus a friend of mine had bought a Spitfire home in the Cotswolds and loved it."

“I can’t fault the process.

"All the staff involved were amazing and I love it here.

“Definitely the best decision I have ever made.

"No regrets and highly recommended.”

Ms Burbidge also specifically commended Spitfire Homes' sales consultant Emily Plevey, along with Gary Lever from Faber's site management team, for their support throughout the buying process.

Faber's remaining homes consist of No. 45, the Woodchester show home, which is a four-bedroom detached home with additional upgraded items and a detached double garage.

There is also No. 22, The Chalfont, a four-bedroom detached home with a garage.
