Pershore Abbey will host an organ recital in tribute to a successful figure from the area.
The 'Dowty Organ Recital', scheduled for Saturday, April 6, will honour Sir George Dowty, a Pershore-born businessman and inventor who founded Dowty Aviation, a leading aircraft equipment manufacturer.
He was also the President of the Worcestershire County Cricket Club in their most successful era.
His twin brother Edward was an organist at St John's in Worcester.
The recital is open to all, with no entrance fee required.
