A Midlands housebuilder is searching for its longest standing resident to mark its golden anniversary.

Redrow, which has built 224 developments in the Midlands since 1985, is offering a prize of £500 to its longest standing homeowner willing to share their unique experiences and stories.

Worcester residents are particularly being urged to participate in the hunt due to the several long-standing and current Redrow developments in the area, such as Kensington Gate, Earls Park, and Kings Park.

Elaine Cartwright, sales director for Redrow Midlands, said: "As we enter this exciting year, commemorating our 50th anniversary, we can't wait to celebrate with all the people who make Redrow what it is.

"If you've been a Redrow homeowner since your very first home purchase or recently upsized into a new energy efficient home with us, we hope you will join us in the celebrations."

She added: "As part of our 50th anniversary, we want to hear from you, whether that's an interesting home buying tale or a story of your life in one of our homes.

"And if you think you may be the Redrow Midlands homeowner who has lived with us the longest, we encourage you to get in touch."

When it was founded in 1974, Steve Morgan CBE embarked on a journey with Redrow armed with just £5,000, loaned to him by his father.

Over 120,000 homes later, the company has housed the equivalent of a major city like Nottingham and operates twelve regional divisions across England and Wales, including the Redrow Midlands business, which began in 1985.

Recently, Redrow became the first large housebuilder to introduce air source heat pumps into all of its new developments, ramping up environmental efforts to offer underfloor heating as standard.

Additionally, the company has backed several community charity projects through its regional Community Fund, donating £10,000 this year alone spread across good causes in the Midlands.

Long-lasting Redrow residents are invited to share their stories by emailing communications@redrow.co.uk.
