Upton Jazz Association is a registered charity with the aims of providing and encouraging jazz music by inviting the highest quality of award-winning and international talent to Upton whilst also encouraging local and talented young people to explore the music and to develop their skills and confidence in performance.

(4) Three Choirs Festival in Worcester

The festival is held between July 27 and August 3. One of the themes at the 2024 Three Choirs Festival is the environment. Samuel Hudson, Artistic Director for Worcester, said the theme of Three Choirs was selected 'at a time when we can both celebrate works which remind us of the innate beauty of the world around us, but also recognise that our natural resources are under serious threat'.

(5) Cricket at New Road

The first home game of the season for Worcestershire County Cricket Club at New Road will be against Durham on Friday, April 19.
Worcestershire Head Coach Alan Richardson is excited about the challenges ahead following their top-two finish in Division Two in the summer.

(7) The Great Waddle of Worcester 2024

Summer 2024 will see Worcester 'transformed into a free, fun art space as a waddle of wonderfully designed penguins slide into residents’ and visitors’ hearts and camera rolls'.

The initiative helps raise funds for St Richard's Hospice in Worcester. Each sculpture will be sponsored by a business and individually designed by an artist – either well-known or just starting out, from the Worcestershire area or further afield.

They’ll 'waddle in' on Monday, July 22 before leaving on Sunday, September 15.

(8) Worcester Festival 2024

Organisers say the 2024 festival will take place from Saturday, August 10 to Monday, August 26, which is August Bank Holiday Monday.

The 2023 festival saw more than 850 events take place in more than 100 venues in and around the city.
