A WORCESTER man has been ordered to pay over £1,000 for failing to identify a driver alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

Lee Hankins, 50, failed to identify the driver of a Vauxhall Vivaro to Gloucestershire Constabulary between Thursday, May 11 and Friday, June 9. 

Hankins, of Shap Drive, had his verdict proved in a single justice procedure at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, November 14.

He was fined £660 and was made to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £264.

Hankins was also made to pay costs of £90, and his driving record was endorsed with six points.

He has until Tuesday, December 12 to pay the total balance of £1,014.
