MAJOR plans are in the pipeline to bring affordable housing to Wychbold.
A scheme to demolish three-storey concrete flats in De Wyche Road and replace them with 29 new homes has been submitted to Wychavon District Council's planning department.
The application, by Festival House Group, could be discussed by members of the planning committee on August 21. The development would be divided into 13 terraced houses, 12 flats and four semi-detached properties and also include landscaping to transform the site.
Richard Grounds, director of commercial services at Festival Housing Group, said: Securing planning consent for the proposals is an important stage in this process which will enable the association and residents to progress to the next phase of the redevelopment plans."
