MORE than 500 people paid their respects to a well-loved Stourport dad who was tragically killed in a car crash last month.

Richard Evans was killed on Tuesday, March 14 on Blakes Hill, North Littleton near Evesham.

The 23-year-old leaves behind his two-year-old daughter Savanna Rose, his mother Teresa, father Billy, five brothers, one sister and his girlfriend Amelia.

Loved ones packed out a service held at St James Church in Hartlebury on April 6 to say their final goodbyes.

A black horse-drawn carriage carried Richard's coffin adorned with flowers.

A burial then took place at St Mary’s Church, Crossway Green.

Music carefully chosen by Richard’s family including Another Love by Tom Odell and The Wanderer by Dion DiMucci was played along with a bible reading, prayers and poems.

Chantelle, Richard’s sister also spoke of her love for her brother.

Following the funeral, Richard’s niece Vienna sang a rendition of Easy on Me by Adele.

Chantelle told The Shuttle: “His funeral was fit for a king. He had the best of the best. We hope we have done him proud, and we will look after his little girl Savanna Rose.

“He will always be here with us, and we will love him forever. He was one of a kind.

“He has left us all with broken hearts and left so many holes in people’s hearts.

“He was a happy-go-lucky boy, a loved man, a heart of a lion.

“He loved his curly hair!”

Richard’s cousin James said: “Richard will be missed by so many; you will be missed by so many. You were too good for this earth.”
