A POPULAR village pub which was forced to close due to recent flooding has reopened.
Andrew Goodall, landlord of The Rose and Crown pub in Severn Stoke, took the decision to close the watering hole last Monday, (January 16), due to rising water levels at the time.
As rivers levels began to receed throughout the week the decision was made to reopen the pub yesterday, (January 21).
The owners said: "Rose and Crown finally opened its doors again today from 11.30am after defending the floods for the third consecutive year.
"Open for food from noon until 3, and 5.30 unti 8.30pm. Sunday lunch noon until 4pm.
"Support your local and get your tables booked today 01905 371249."

The pub has had many issues with flooding in the past, with flooding in April 2022, January 2021, and February 2020.
Flooding in 2021 caused about £60,000 worth of damage.
