A MAN who has finally admitted assaulting his wife and making threats to kill her has been warned he faces jail.
Stephen Price remains banned from Malvern as part of his bail conditions as he now faces a wait to learn his fate.
The 57-year-old, of Holmer Road, Hereford, changed his plea on the day of his expected trial at Worcester Crown Court on Tuesday (January 10).
He admitted threatening to kill and assault occasioning causing actual bodily harm to a woman, Denise Price, in Malvern last year.
Jason Aris, defending, explained Price accepted strangulation that had caused an injury, but did not accept spitting or headbutting the victim.

Amanda O’Mara, prosecuting, said as the further details would make no difference to Price's sentencing the crown felt a newton hearing - which is held to establish full facts - was not required in the case.
His Honour Judge Jonathan Salmon said he was adjourning the case for a pre-sentence report which, he said, would benefit the sentencing judge.

But the judge told Price that despite the adjournment he should expect only an immediate custodial sentence.
Price was told to return to the court for sentencing on Tuesday, February 7.
