A DROITWICH woman had her car windscreen cracked when a stone was thrown from a bridge near Alvechurch.
The driver of the Ford Focus, aged in her 30s, was travelling along the A441 from the direction of Redditch and was approaching the island to join the M42 at junction two when the stone was thrown.
“Throwing stones or missiles on to any road is totally irresponsible."
Police spokesman
Damage of £150 was caused in the incident, which happened at about 9am on Monday, April 28.
A police spokesman said: "Throwing stones or missiles on to any road is totally irresponsible. If an occupant of a vehicle is hit, a windscreen is shattered, or a driver swerves to avoid an object, the consequences could be extremely serious.
"We are appealing for parents to talk to their children about the dangers of this type of behaviour."
Witnesses, or anyone with information, are asked to contact Bromsgrove police on 08457 444888 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
