VICTORIA Barnt Green won their first ever Worcestershire FA Junior Cup with an enthralling 4-2 extra time win over Callow End FC at Bromsgrove Rovers' Victoria Ground on Sunday.

Captain Danny Hobbis capped the triumph with a splendid fourth goal after a mazy run by Adam Davis.

But it had all looked so different when Bromsgrove and District League Division One leaders Vic went 1-0 down early in the match.

Adam Briggs levelled for the Vic but Worcester League Division One outfit Callow End took the lead again midway through the second half.

As Mark Hobbis' men went in search of an equaliser they had goalkeeper Mark Rogers to thank for keeping out everything Callow End threw at him.

The Vic kept battling away and sent the game into extra time thanks to Chris Weatherall's neat lob over the goalkeeper.

And it was left back Weatherall who put the Vic ahead for the first time in the game with another deft chip over the keeper.

As Callow End pressed forward in search of an equaliser to take it to penalties, midfielder Davis went on a Maradonna-style run before setting up hot-shot Hobbis to swivel and blast the ball into the top corner and seal a memorable victory.
