A PERFROMERS union is reconsidering the lifetime achievement award it gave to Morgan Freeman, in the wake of sexual harassment allegations against the actor.

Freeman, 80, apologised on Thursday after he was accused of repeatedly behaving in ways that made women feel uncomfortable on film sets and at his production company Revelations Entertainment.

He said sorry to “anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected”.

NETFLIX has cancelled a planned UK promotional event for Arrested Development amid controversy over one cast member verbally harassing another.

During a cast interview for the revived series, Jessica Walter broke down in tears as she recalled being shouted at by her on-screen husband Jeffrey Tambor.

The US actress, 77, said she had “never had anybody yell at me like that” across six decades of working.

POLDARK star Aidan Turner has said he expects the hit BBC drama to come to an end next year.

The actor’s portrayal of Ross Poldark will be back on screens next month as the show returns for a fourth series.

And while a fifth series for 2019 has been commissioned, Turner believes that will be the “last one” for the foreseeable future.

NEWSNIGHT host Kirsty Wark has criticised what she called an “absolutely outrageous” gender pay gap at the BBC.

The broadcaster sparked controversy when the salaries of top talent earning over £150,000 was revealed.

When the figures were unveiled, Radio 2’s Chris Evans topped the 2017 list on more than £2 million, while the highest-paid woman was Claudia Winkleman on between £450,000 and £499,999.
